What do I get on an EDT escorted Tour?

One of the EDT Lead vehicles at Folkestone

Once you have completed and sent your online booking form and paid your deposit your place on the Tour is secured.

Around 14 weeks before travel you will receive our "General Information Document" which lists things you will need to take that are specific to the countries you are visiting, along with information regarding foreign travel in general and driving in Europe in particular.

At around the same time you will also receive a request for the final balance of the price of your Tour.

Around 4 weeks prior to departure you will receive the "Points of Interest Document" from your Tourbook which gives information and weblinks to specific places of interest that you will be visiting on your Tour.

Two weeks later you will receive the "Hotels List Document" from your Tourbook which lists the hotels we will be using on the Tour.

In addition you will also receive advice on where to meet before the Tour and if you are meeting at the Eurotunnel terminal you will be sent your booking reference in advance.

Many of our escorted Tours begin with a reasonably early Eurotunnel crossing, so we often meet at a hotel in Folkestone the previous evening where you can meet your fellow tourists and where we hold a briefing and hand out the Tour packs.

Sat Navs

EDT Tourbook & Sat Nav

Our routes are presented on Garmin 1490 Sat Navs which give us a unique ability to offer you very detailed routes which you can follow as part of the main Tour group or by yourself if you prefer to travel on your own and meet up with the group at the end of the day.

In addition to the Tour routes, the Sat Navs are also programmed with waymarkers for all of the significant places along the way. This gives you the flexibility to leave the planned route at any time and travel to a given point by the fastest route.

Radios

EDT Tour packs & Radios

On escorted Tours we also provide high powered, licensed Mitex radios for the use of the passenger in each car.

The radios are invaluable when keeping the group together in towns and cities but also provide a great way for the group to get to know each other whilst travelling.

Our customers often comment how much they miss the radios when they hand them back at the end of a Tour!!
